Doughlamps is a series of biodegradable and functional luminaires created using residues of cooking dough as a material. Each luminaire has a different shape and texture. All forms are made using ceramic elements as moulds. Quirky and ephemeral, the lamps are resolutely linked with sustainable development and encourage new attitudes towards contemporary design, through a material that reflects upon thoughtful design. Thoughtful Design is an approach that asks us to consider the end of a product’s life before it is manufactured. What will this item turn into after it is used? Can it be recycled?
